Changing vets

Have finally, after several phone calls to different vets, found one that really impressed me over the phone. She listened very intently to what I had to say about Eva's temperament and weight issues and how I wasnt happy about my current vet wanting to sedate her all the time. We spoke at some length, she then took all of the cats details and have booked an apointment for next wednesday evening, a nice quiet time.

I do hope so, another thing I liked was that she didnt have that sort of officous tone that vets/doctors have but maybe once she has me in her surgery that will all change
Anyway worth a shot coz there is no point taking Eva to a vet that is scared to handle her.

Good luck with the new vet and of course getting her divaness in to the box in the first place!

Robin had 5 of ours at the vet last Friday and usually on seeing a feral in a crush cage the vet usually does all the necessary through the modified bars of the crusher oh no new vet refused and wanted cat out of crusher well Dallas did the wall of death and used the vet as a jump point and Robin asked her to leave the room so he could put him back in the crusher, vet duly obliged and then another came in and did injections!

Still at least he got all 5 there - 4 ferals and the Physco Peanut!

Liz: dumb question...is that the name for a cage where the front of it can be moved back so there is no room for the cat to move around; in effect, he's pinned there: so the vet can inject him? I didn't know what it was called. When my Aby went in to be neutered he became so very fierce and aggressive (completely unlike his normal self) that they had to do that so he could be sedated. I never knew what it was called ....

Yes thats the one its a crush cage or crusher and we use them for regular visits for some of our darlings!!!!!!!!!!!
