A happy story and a real sad story!

I'm going to start with the sad story first!

A story just popped up on f***b*** that turned my stomach! A friend of mine has had their cat poisoned and they've had to have the cat PTS. The cat was having seizures and was in kidney failure. Their neighbor's cat suffered the same fate . He's reported the incident to the police, the RSPCA and is also going to the local paper about it.

Now for the happy story (eventually.) My SIL moved and wouldn't take the cat with her she had been trying to get my MIL to adopt the cat for a while; (my MIL is mad on animals and all her pets are more loved than the children.)
My MIL adopted Scooby (who is black with the fluffiest fur you've ever seen) and introduced her to the resident cat Bobby. Bobby didn't take too kindly to Scooby but, was warming up to her. They kept Scooby in for a few days to help her get used to her surroundings and my MIL said that Scooby was doing great and was eating and giving super cuddles. So they let her out and didn't see her for 2 days until they went to where she used to live and found her. So they kept her in for a bit longer would let her out and she'd disappear. This went on for about 6 weeks. My SIL old neighbor rang the RSPCA and they took the cat. My MIL went to the center and explained what the cat kept doing. They said that if she signed over the cat they would send her to a farm in Shrewsburry where old cats go to live (Scooby is 12) as the RSPCA find it difficult to re-home old cats. So Scooby is living it up on some farm in Shrewsburry.

I loved the happy ending for Scooby! And the other case makes me just livid; what kind on an unfeeling monster can do that? If I were a guy I'd like to meet him in a dark alley with a baseball bat ..... and no police around!!

Scooby was being looked after by the lady who moved in to SIL old house BUT, the neighbour decided that the new lady couldn't look after Scooby as she has a baby, even though the lady said it was fine as she had her own cat to look after.

he's gutted, he has a 4 year old daughter who's upset to say the least!
