Devastated - Sookie missing (devon rex)

One of my children must have undone the net over my window and Sookie has managed to get out I have spent the day looking high and low, searching the house, the gardens, round the lanes, woods, allottments and cemetry and cant find her anywhere. I have contacted the local vets and animal shelter incase she is handed in. I am now wondering if keeping her indoors was the right thing to do as next doors maine coon is allowed out and never roams far. I shall be staying up with the window open tonight in the hope she comes back. Feeling helpless now, has anyone got any advice? I am not sure if there is anything else I can do but keep looking.

I am so very sorry for you. It's horrid, but don't give up hope.

Here is a useful list of things to check out - good luck. I hope Sookie is home safe and sound very soon.

Thankyou That does help, Sookie is my first indoor cat so this is the first time this has happened, I'm freaking out a bit. I'm going to keep the front window and back door open for as long as possible, I do hope she finds her way back. The last time she was seen by a neighbour was 9am this morning

I was going to say go round your neighbours & ask them but looks like youve already did that. At moment our two are indoors but startimg to look out. Im getting outdoor run put up & then gradually ease it tbat way

Im sure she'll come back - its all new & exciting for her at minute. Easy for me to say, i would be same as you are now too.

Hugs. xx

Re: Devastated - Sookie missing (devon rex)

SOOKIE IS FOUND!!!

The little monkey seems to have had a great day

Two little girls that live near me had been looking for her bless them and spotted her in the back lanes so me and OH went on another hunt armed with a torch and treats. We found her in the garden of a neighbour that has passed away recently which explains why nobody had seen her, she creeped out from under the bush looking very sheepish

She is now enjoying some beef... and is grounded for a year!!!!

Thankyou for the kind messages and advice!

Gem xx

Thankyou Me too

Soo is oblivious to the stress she has caused and is whizzing around as usual (I'd have thought the day out might have worn her out a little bit )
