Well it was...

Just a normal day!! Got up at usual time and went out for the school bus in the pouring down rain! It got to about 8:05 and i thought to myself wow its quite late, I am usually on the bus by this time... 10 minutes later no sign out either busses Great the busses are lost and its pouring it down with rain... Gave a friend a ring who lives not far from me and she said she had just gotten on the bus and that there are floods all over the village and that the busses are both stuck in traffic! All the roads around the village were closed off and everything was hectic! Finally the busses arrived at 9:05 I was supposed to be at school 10 minutes ago And the journey is about an hour!! I was with a friend who had her GCSE exams at 9:00 but luckily they delayed it!!

What was the weather like in your area today??? Its still pouring it down here and extreme thunder and lightening lmao!

Here is a video to show just how bad it was in our village!!

http://video.tinypic.com/player.php?v=4xlp2mp Beware.. turn your speakers down lol!! Its pretty loud!!

Oh my gosh Tom, you have had it bad there haven't you?! You can here the panic in the people's voices in your video too..

Were you allowed to leave school early so that you had plenty of time to get home?

I'm just pleased you are all safe there and the flood water will start receding....

The fire brigade have cleared a lot of the standing water and are still working to clear the rest but the heavy rain has started again

How awful, Tom! I'm glad you make it safely to school and back home! Nasty experience! Is your house OK...no flood waters near it? Thank God they have the weekend to work on it if it doesn't rain any more....

Hi Eileen,,, Yeah is quite a bad experience.. I think our house will be fine because we are quite high up so the water should run down the steep hills! x
