Daily thread - Friday

What a wet and miserable day - it's persisting it down However, it is very mild so shouldn't complain too much. Have finally re-organised the remaining christmas chicken into one frozen meat, stuffing & gravy meal for 2, enough pieces to enhance a stir-fry tonight, stock for chicken & mushroom soup for lunchtime, 'bits' to enhance the animals' tea tonight and a pot of frozen stock. The bones went off in the dust-cart this morning, so that's that! (I'm still suspicious that it was actually a small ostrich! )

Morning DM, morning all, miserable, wet day here. I am hoping that more will get done on my kitchen today when hubby finally decides to get out of bed The house is upside down with doing the kitchen so I think I need to do a bit of tidying round and organising things better.

We are all absolutely sick of turkey sandwiches now, think even the cats are fed up of having turkey Still quite a bit left but hopefully will find some way of using the rest up today.

Wet, windy and a miserable day here

Dustman, black box, brown bin have all done their duty today and I am rubbish free once again! I've still got some of the massive turkey left so it's going to be a quick turkey curry and naan bread tonight

It6s not too bad here today. Although the weatherman is saying were to have gails from hohmanay onwards. Street party to get blown away!!!
Glad I'll be sitting in a nice warm house.
The grinch is here so Mum's mood has changed (for the worse) Glad to say they are leaving tomorrow morning till Tuesday.

Afternoon folks. What a miserable day it is! Gloomy, wet and windy. Had a quick run around the shops. My mum slipped me £20 yesterday as she was leaving so managed to get twin cordless phones in the sales. I had only a single non cordless one before and you couldn't hear it ring if you were upstairs, so no more missed calls, lol! Went in to Matalan too, and got the girls a load of t-shirts and summer tops which were reduced down to £1!! And some of them were for twin packs, bargain!! Then came home and cried at the railway children (I always do at the bit at the end when Bobbi shouts 'daddy, my daddy'). Got the heating on full blast now as it's freezing and then starting the annual gut the house before the bells job, what fun! Have a good day all.

Ah 'Daddy, my Daddy' - one of the really great cinema lines. I noticed it ws on but didn't fel like a prickly throat today (but I did have my 'Wonderful Life' fix on xmas Saturday. Wonderful film too.)
Wonder what will be classic lines from recent films? Brokeback Mountain 'I ain't no queer'?

So much for it not being too bad here today. We now have sleet. No chance of any snow laying if it changes to snow as it's too wet.
