Re: cod liver oil caps

Yes you can BM, I have used CLO for the cats in the past but now I tend to use Salmon oil instead.

Re: cod liver oil caps

CLO is fine for them. If it's easier, you could just get a botle and use a few drops per day - might be easier than opening capsules; will certainly be cheaper.

Re: cod liver oil caps

I was speaking to someone recently about this regarding getting them for Teddie, and she looked at me like I was nuts. She said that they have a tendancy to give a cats the runs, has anyone else had this reaction to them.

no I haven't heard this but I suppose too much of anything can cause tummy upsets. I'm talking literally of one or two drops, nothing like a capsule full.

Re: cod liver oil caps

Mine literally have the contents of one capsule between all of them per day so highly unlikely to affect them in any adverse way I should think. I tried not giving Porsha any and it made absolutely no difference to the contents of the litter pan.

Re: cod liver oil caps

i bought some CLO caps from aldis 1-49 for a bottle, so not too bad on the purse, i put one caps full in the dogs dinner, so all i do is cut the cap n squeeze it, no hard deal. as long as theres no ill effects,

Re: cod liver oil caps

Please be careful when using cod liver oil as can have high vit A content unless specifically for cats. Too much vit A can cause bone/joint problems same as feeding all liver diet which is also high in vit A
