one of my cats was lost

I haven't been on for I was searching high and low for my Lucky cat
He slipped out of the house through the floor. The wall gave way from the floor and he fell out.
That was Wednesday night.
Thursday I searched the near by houses for him. Then for the rest of the time nothing was spared. Interviewing people, posting notices, Singing his song and name. Morning, noon and night. Searched the cat prison
The following Friday morning, he was outside our door. Over the eight day starving to death deadline warning.
Where he was? If someone had him for a while, I don't know.
Wish he could tell me where I failed him.
This was a terrible expereince.
I had cats die on me, I miss them everyday. But I knew where they ended up.
His personality still hasn't come back. He stuck to the kitchen and isn't going out of there.
The others are rallying around him. And nobody is asking to go outside. So the expereince must have been just as terrible on him. And they say cats don't care

OMG poor cat. Glad he's home and I do hope he recovers with your love and care and support from his fellow cats. Wish they could talk too.

so pleased he is home Jill. The fall through the floor must have been very scary for him, maybe he ran away somewhere and got trapped.
I hope things soon settle down with him

Goodness, how terrifying for you! I'm so glad Lucky's back home though, sounds like he was very stressed by his experience Sounds like your house has sustained some damage too - what a worry.

Jill, thank goodness you found your Lucky cat . You must have been frantic - I know I would have been, if one of mine disappeared. What a great ending you had. All's well that ends well.

My Lucky is still skinnny but he is getting fed wet food three times a day and is almost to where he was when he left.
Funny it only took nine days for his coat to disinergrate into a short hair cat instead of been a long hair.
His personality was spooked and changed. He still is spooked bad over the sound of plastic.
There is no way of know what happened to him. Just hints.
Some kids may have hit him with plastic bats. Herd him in a shed or empty house. or took him home to torment
He is happier today. Home and safe.
Jill

Re: one of my cats was lost

I had one go missing when I lived on a small island. We were pretty sure who had taken her and got folk to face up to them; a nasty family. One of them arrived at the door with my very sick Siamese then. Claimed they had found her in a ditch but we were sure they had kept her locked in And she had caught leukaemia and died. Way before the vaccines. So glad yours is back safe ..sometimes one of mine stays out longer than usual and I get worried...

My Lucky is back to his bossy self. He is enjoying all his extra meals and we visit more than ever.
One thing this experience has taught me, never go to bed without saying you love them or without counting heads.
Took the cockiness right out of me. I am nicer person now.

Glad Lucky has recovered his equilibrium. I know Inky isn't too keen about 'going over the wall' again.
