We had a beautiful cat come into rescue last week living rough for some time as a feral. Very bedraggled & matted. A lovely lady trapped him & took him to her vet to check for a chip (sadly no), get him neutered & clipped. Under his tummy & round his bottom & tail had to be shorn to the skin he was so badly matted at the vets.
This lovely lady kept him overnight following his surgery/dematting in a dog crate in her shed whilst we organised transport. During his dematting at the vets, an old very worn tight collar was found. This poor little boy had been someones pet at some time
.
I have a friend who rescues feral cats & it was arranged for this little cat to be taken to her. At that stage we thought he was feral. He had to travel a very long distance which involved two different transporters. His new home is with a very special lady who has a special affinity with cats. Within hours he was purring & head butting her. She says she thinks life has been very hard for this poor little cat. His 'saviour' was the kind lady who fed him & decided to try & get him into rescue.
Well, "Cookie" as he is now known as, has come 'home'. He wont want for anything anymore.
