Meet Tabatha Lecter!

This is Tabatha getting her last blood sample to check her thyroid level. Please do not think we are being cruel. She normally needs to be gassed down for bloods, not good for an old, hyperthyroid cat with a heart murmur, so the vet suggested trying a muzzle, she's not aggressive just really wriggly. He said they either settle down or go balistic, thankfully she chose to do the first option. Much better for her and less expensive for us.

Re: Meet Tabatha Lecter!

I didn't even know they made muzzles for cats! What an excellent idea for the ones who go berserk at the vets...far better than anaesthesia!

What a good idea - glad it calmed her down and she didn't need knocking out. Much the best option.

Poor little baby
I'm another one who'd never thought of cat muzzles. It's so obvious though ..... if you can get the thing on without being shredded!
Much better than anaesthesia

Scary but necessary I guess.
Can we see one of Tabatha without the mask please? I'm sure she has a sweet lil face really!

What a good idea - never thought of it before, but obvious when you think of it. - And much better than gas for her.
