who can buy a bike for £5?I can!! remember how we got Ryan a mountain bike for £6 from the tip? Well when we went back sunday I decided I might have a look at one for me. Figured it'll help me loose weight. Got a 12 gear ladies mountain bike for a fiver. AND ryan saw a little silver metal bmx. He said if he could afford it out of his pocket money could he buy it and use THIS one for going over ramps, and curbs and doing stunts. So I said yes providing it wasnt too much. It cost him £3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the blue one hubby got him last week for £6 is now his bike for going on rides with me on, and the other for playing out on. Planning on getting one of them little trailers for elliot to sit in soon.

bargains they may be, but hubby was ins titches all sunday. He looked at my bike and KNEW it was broken, but didnt tell me. Then says he cant get the bikes on the boot ( of an estate car?!?!?!) so i decdied to ride the bike home. About 30 yards outside the tip the front wheel fell off. Also the handle bars didnt turn the front wheel!! So i ended up walking the hours walk home, having already got a very sore hip. My borther came round while i was on walk home. he has a bike rack at home. Did he come pick me up? NO. He laughed!!! things we do for bargains. bike all fixed now though and only cost a pound for some alan keys ( which ryan borroed yesterday and has lost!) |

just loking about for a shopping basket now. hubby says a shopping basket is really old fashioned and I should get pannier bags. I dont care. just want it for when I go to shops! |

Basket is better for shopping, keeps the heavy things from trying to poke their corners into the spokes. Can fit more things into the panniers, though. Go for basket, send someone else to get the weekly shopping.  |

Nice husband for coming back to get you  I would have given him a good slap. Maybe you can trade him in for a newer model Do they have any of those down the tip? Failing that, you could always place an ad in the paper. |

got a friend of ours who used to run a tip, we used to get some smashing stuff from there, the amount of good stuff ppl throw away  we used to help him sort out the clothes bins, and the new clothes that where thrown away. one day we found aload of mens armni suits, and loads of designer stuff. all with one arm cut off. and a pile of gold in the pocket, think some one had been caught being a naughty boy,spurned wife ect. |
