Desperate x2 female cats

both cats are 14yrs,speyed and are black and white,owners have had them since kittens but are now being re homed because of new baby, paws n claws have a week 2 find a home for them.

this rescue is based in st.helens but are willing to rehome all over the uk.

I hope they find a new home quickly. What will happen to the poor girlies if a home isn't found for them? Will they be PTS or what?

Awww, this is so sad. How can soembody be so cruel? I hope these poor cats find a home where they are loved and appreciated.

i have no idea how anyone could do it! i dont know what is going to happen if paws n claws doesnt find them a home, i presume pts would be the option, im just crossposting for them, i have 2 cats from this rescue myself, and they are fantastic

It really makes my blood boil when people re-home their animals becasue they have had a baby. Poor, poor cats. I really hope a good home is found for them for their twilight years.

I have heard and this might not be strictly true, that health visitors etc. spread scare stories about the risk to newborns from viruses that can be carried by animals, not just cats.

If such understandable worries are not accompanied by sensible and rigorous instructions about cleanliness, then I can't really blame a new mum for putting her baby's needs above the pets. Of course it's possible to have a baby and cats, dogs and other animals - just ask our pinklizzy! But care does have to be taken and perhaps it's just too much to ask of some new mums.

I'm with you on this one Kim. I had cats and other pets during both my pregnancies, simply put either hubby cleaned out the trays, or I did with gloves on! And neither of my girls have asthma or any other such condition, partly I attribute to being around a good few germs while growing up. Too much cleanliness can be a bad thing around a baby/young child.
