They are beauties all Elaine. How lovely it will be if their owner manages to build a big aviary for them. I was once bitten by a sulphur crested cockatoo and still have a little crescent moon scar on one of my fingers ..... yup, I can still just see it - that was about 25 years ago! Some beak it had! |

Got bit by one of the gala's today, little minx lulled me into a false sense of security, she loves to be cuddled and yesterday I had her in my arms for a cuddle. Today however she came down to the bottom of the cage, I opened the door, she put her head down for her neck to be tickled and then wham, my pinkie was in her beak. Its very hard to try not to pull away when it happens, you dont want to scare them but oh the pain..... |

It is still a bit stingy but I supose fortunately, she got the fleshy part as oposed to the whole of my pinkie Guess who didnt get a peice of date and walnut cakie after that |
