Rang the Emergency Vet

This morning when she woke up Mindy had a few wee coughs so thought i would veer on side of caution & rang emergency vet. He agreed it was unusual amount of time she was sleeping altho like ourselves & some folk on here thought it maybe due to a bad start. He mentioned there can be couple of conditions that can cause this type of problem - they can be treated when she gets older

Basically he said to monitor her today but if worried ring them back & they would see her as an emergency. The fact she is eating, drinking & toileting normally is a good sign

So keep your fingers crossed folks xx

Re: Rang the Emergency Vet

Poor wee girl had diarrhea this morning but just the once. She turned round to look at it to find it gone - well must admit i am quick off the mark & from such a small animal there wasnt much to deal with

Shes eating & drinking normally so tomorrow first thing i am going to ring again & try & get her appt brought forward. I would be happier if she was seen. At this stage i dont think i would be happy for her to have vaccinations, i dont think her little system could cope with them, i think it may be prudent to wait off for a few weeks especially as there is a question over what age she actually is. i say this as when we got her home last week she reminded me of the rescue puppies we hand reared, when they were learning to walk they would take wee stumbling steps & Mindy was like that. Her motor skills have really only developed over the last week

The awful part is the rescuers didnt trap a mother cat so either someone dumped the kittens or moma cat is still out there & probably pregnant again & no doubt little more than a kitten herself
