Cat PrayerNow I lay me down to sleep, I pray this cushy life to keep. I pray for toys that look like mice, And sofa cushions, soft and nice. I pray for gourmet kitty snacks, And someone nice to scratch my back, For windowsills all warm and bright, For shadows to explore at night. Oh Mags - that is lovely & it's so true. They don't ask for much really do they, but there are so many unwanted & unloved ones.  Edit to add - I have just read it again & was imagining my 2 adult rescues I have in saying it, I now have tears in my eyes & a lump in my throat & I'm at work  |
