What a surprise we had this morningWas getting dressed when OH called me and the kiddies downstairs. He told us to be very, very quiet (almost an impossibility in my house lol ) Hubby then opened the front door and sat right on our doorstep all huddled in the corner we saw a very young starling. When it saw us it fluttered off into the hedge. It was wonderful to see

How lovely and nice for the children to see. We have a nest box for blue tits and last year when we cleaned the box out all the babies were dead inside  I was paranoid it would happen again, but to my delight the box was empty apart from a lovely cosy moss 'nest!  |
