Grand Schnauzer walk at Hayling Island today!

It was a gloriously sunny day and 26 Schnauzers and a Greyhound had a grand meet and greet...

Sadly, our Monty Bogle seemed to be wearing the wrong sort of aftershave and did end up on the losing end of a bit of humping. He's fine though. I'd like to know if anyone can suggest a reason - he's only been neutered for just over a fortnight, so maybe his hormones were saying something girlie about him?

One of the other people took a stunning photo of Monty and I am just waiting for her permission to copy it - will post later if she agrees.

What do you mean "a losing end of humping"? Was Monty humping another dog? Was the dog bearing its teeth trying to hump Monty?

Good photos, looks like it was a good day out.

fabulous photos Angie
Maybe the other dogs were trying to hump as Monty isn't producing as much testosterone now ?
My first Basenji was neutered and sometimes other dogs tried to hump him, it can be a dominance thing and bitches do it too.
Speaking of humping Kwame tried it on with Jame's new g/f :O

Monty was being humped, not exactly a gang-bang but several different dogs all had the same idea. The dogs' owners have all apologised profusely but I'm a bit worried that it will happen again and Monty will lose confidence around other dogs.

It can take up to eight weeks for his hormones to settle down after being neutered, so it may have something to do with that.
I wouldnt worry too much Angie, just try to play games with him that may help build his confidence, but I'm pretty sure he will be fine. Just remember that if you get fearful or upset, so will he and that may make him a target for a more confident dog.
