The Tellington TTouch for Cats

I came across reference to the Tellington Touch on the Schnauzer forum and so I looked it up and came across this in relation to cats.

Decided to post a link here and ask if anyone has heard about this technique and what they think about it?

Probably one of the biggest issues for cat owners is trying to guess how they might feel. The fact that tensions occur for different reasons, encourages us to be more vigilant with our cats.

I would think that most cat owners do have at least general feel for what/how their cat is feeling? "In pain" might be the most difficult feeling, though.

Ive not tried it but have used a form of Reikki with crystal healing with the dogs.

Has anyone else did Reikki?

I think TTouch is excellent. My daughter uses massage with the cats she works with and gets good results.

Do you think Ttouch would work for Dylan? I have yet to read the link to find out how it works and whether it's something I could do at home (thicko here!) I think Dylan tenses slightly when he sees another cat, whether on his territory or not.

As far as I could understand RCR, it's like many of these sorts of alternative therapies - you either have to find a practitioner or you have to learn how to do it yourself. It seems that there are courses and demonstrations etc. Not sure if they do teach-yourself DVDs or not.

Some people on the Schnauzer forum seem to rate the technique and its outcomes for dogs highly; I see no reason why it shouldn't work for cats.

Yes I do practice it, but mainly experienced it with dogs and horses with brilliant results.
Im about to try it with my cockerel.
I taught myself but also learnt from others who had done courses. Robyn and Linda are both on [Sys edit: Contains pet forums], I started a group a few years ago on FB, people are happy to answer questions if you have any.

I communicate with animals so use methods like this alongside

I really feel alternative practices are the way forward, if more pet owners and people practiced them, wow what a better place the world would be for everyone.
