Baby Boy

Baby Boy was the one of the sons in Geri's first litter. He was the only tabby, his other brothers were the spitting image of Geri. He was supposed to be called Tigger, in memory of his uncle whom he greatly resembled. But things changed after we saw him as a blind squirming kitten, and he was dubbed Baby Boy.

He was the result of an unplanned mating between a Greek stray and Geri. We rushed her to the vet's, even though she had only been with the tom for 3 minutes. We asked if there was a mis-mate injection for cats, but there wasn't. The vet gave us two choices, let her have the kittens or spay her after she finishes her season. We opted for her to have the kittens, as we would like kittens from her again sometime in the future.

All the kittens were reserved by the time they were 1 week. We even had people coming to look at their kitten when they were 3 weeks and asking if they could instead have Baby Boy. But he was meant for us.

When Baby Boy was about 5 months we noticed that one of his testicles haden't decended. As we were going to neuter him anyway, it wasn't a problem. But we decided to wait a few months more, to make sure we didn't have to put him through major surgery. But he got to 10 months and we decided to have him neutered. We were getting nervous, and it was very stressful and hard to keep the cats separated whenever Geri or Kylie came into season. The last time we saw him was when we took him into the vet's. He died on the operating table. Something had gone wrong with the anasthetic, at least it was without pain. I still blame myself though.

Sleeping, after a hard days wrecking the house. He was about 3 months here.

Sleeping with our Gordon, he loved her so much. It came from the time when he was about a week old, we gave him to Penny. After that first meeting, she tried to steal him from Geri countless times and suceeded quite often She even started to make milk for him. So he was drinking dog as well as cat milk.

Look at those legs!! He is only 4 months here, and that is Geri with him.

Here he is in the corner of the window with his mum, Geri. Very athletic pair.

Finally here he is at 10 months, just after a hard session with some catnip.
