HI Sam - welcome to CatPages! Sure you will enjoy it here. We'd love to see pics of Beanie (we looooove kittens!). Here's the instructions.......don't be afraid! Instructions on how to post your pictures It's easy to add pictures to your posts, here's how... First you need to have your pictures hosted somewhere - you can get your pictures hosted for free in sites such as http://photobucket.com ---------------Photobucket.com step by step------------------- If you are using photobucket.com to host your pictures... follow this step by step: (skip this bit if your pictures are hosted elsewhere) Go to www.photobucket.com and sign up an account. UPLOADING PICTURES > Log in > in the 2nd Grey Box, where it says 'Add Picture' click on 'Choose' > a new box opens where u can view your PCs hard drive, find the picture you want to upload and click on 'open' > click on 'Submit' Presto - your pic is uploaded! (see 'resizing' below before posting) RESIZING > Click on the picture to see how big it is - if it's too big, click on the 'back to (your username)' > Above the picture click on 'edit' > Scroll down to where it says 'Resize Picture' > Click on 50% or 25% (75% might make it too small) > Click on 'Resize' > Done! (If the image is still too big you can resize it further by doing the same again) POSTING Under each picture you will find three boxes Url, Tag and Img. We need the code in the IMG box, so simply copy that and place it into your post here on Catpages...Presto! ---------end of step by step------------------ Instructions for other hosts Please note that the url for the image must end in an image format such as '.jpg' otherwise it will not display (so Image hosting websites such as shutterfly and MSN won't work). Once you have the picture you want to include in your post (after you have it hosted somewhere that is), right click on it to find it's path - this is how it's done in IE: Right click on the image you want to include > go to 'properties' > find where it says 'Address URL' > highlight the 'address' > right click on it then click on copy (or simply press [Ctrl] and [c]) Now back in this forum, when you go to post the picture add this code: Presto! It's that simple! A few simple rules to follow: - Please make sure you have permission from the picture owner before posting - Please make sure that each image is not too large as we have to consider users who do not yet have broadband. As a general rule aim for a maxium file size of around 60k per image although the absolute maxium size is 100k per image - any images above this size will be removed. (To see how big an image is, right click it and go to 'properties' to resize an image, use this: http://www.myimager.com/myImager.cfm?p=open&f=0 or http://photobucket.com ). - It should go without saying... no 'rude' (of adult nature) pictures! |

Thank you! I think she is the most adoreable little kitty in the world ( but then doesn't everyone think the same about their cat??!!) She's been with us nearly a week and has already taken over the household (with sleeping between me and the other 1/2 as number one priority! which he is not thrilled about!) but I don't care!!!! lol I work from home so she's becoming a real 'mummie's' cat as I seem to be doing more playing than working... oops! |
