Path and step -


Well finaly the weather has held off long enough to get a picture.
Path and step finished still got some slabs to lay as you look up the new path to the right making almost a patio in front of the house. Of course there is rest of the garden to do, but main thing was the path and step.....big improvement. Well I think so - and cost so far £22.50 for sharp sand and slab lay mix, hardcore and bricks for step. One chap quoted me £600 to do what we have done, reusing our slabs. And I do not think he would have done so well.

You may also note the "brain wave" of having the downpipe cut/redirected to go into the planter not the drain.

The much mentioned step, 6ft wide 2ft deep....

What a nice, workmanlike job you've done; that looks great, Kazz. But are you not concerned about all that water going into the planter during heavy rains?

Thanks both

Nope not worried about planter as its only the guttering from the porch roof which I will put another downpipe otherside. Had a water butt there last year but collected almost no water.
