Dominik is a shepherd again so thankfully he can fit into last year's outfit. Sebi is also a shepherd but he'll have to make do with a tea towel and Dominik's striped 'grandad' shirt and I've not got the energy to make any more outfits. Today I have the window cleaner coming (he's late), and I have the sash window repair man coming to tweak some of the work he did as I can't raise my shutters properly. Not much else on. Will run into town if I have time, but that will also depend on whether I have the energy - Mrs lethargy today I'm afraid!! Oh, that reminds me . . .Dominik sometimes rides a horse called GeeGee who is so reluctant to move that I have affectionately called him Lethargeegee |

Not much planned here, might wash my new white chook later, to see what she should really look like lol. A lovely sunny, but cold day. Hope the rain stays off as it's the local Christmas lights switch on tonight, and both girls are singing with their school choirs. |

You've got a new white chook, Alex? Birthday pressie? I think a photo is definitely called for there. Horrid grey, mizzley rain today here. I sent OH out to the bank on his own - just didn't want to go out. We have more tree work being done tomorrow. I got some photos of a squirrel on the bird feeder this morning, which I'll post in a different thread. Beware Eileen! Have a good day everyone - Yola, it'll take a couple of days for you to get over that nasty bug, so try and take it slowly! Loved your name for Domi's horse btw! Happy Weekend All. |

Ahhhh, naughty me - haven't reported in yet today For no better reason than I thought I had! Ho hum. So, it's been a bit of a misty moisty morning, but there is a bit of weak sun now. We've been to town, done a few bits and pieces and had a nice coffee and cake. OH is off to his ma for the weekend, so I've wrapped the first few xmas pressies for him to take. Eek! But I suppose it is December very soon, so it's permissable to use the x word. Other than that, there is no news. I wished I had a camera handy last night, as Dinah and Bentley shared the space in front of the fire and B decided that D needed a good wash. She had her whole face cleaned very thoroughly, including all around her mouth and lips. And I thought cats hated dog spit! Bentley must love Dinah very much Have a good remainder of the day |

Afternoon Ladies, Had a lovely Thanksgiving meal yesterday, and the best of it was the hostess had a blue Point Siamese girl..called Walter ...I have never seen such an enormous Turkey! There were a lot of displays near the apartment when we can home, Hubby lives in the centre of Uptown Houston, so there was a lot going on, the best of which was an enormous Firework Display, which was visable from the apartment.... Today is called Black Friday, its the day when most of the shops open at 4am for their sales....Why its called that no idea, must as DM... Looks like another gorgeous day here....We are going exploring today, just pointing the car and see where we end up.. Hope all the poorly people and pet feel better soon... |

Black Friday Please miss, please miss, please miss, I know! (Only because they mentioned it on the radio this morning and even my useless memory can manage that sort of time lag ) So, all through the year up to the day after Thanksgiving, the retailers work to pay their rent and rates, staff costs, pay their suppliers etc etc. Then, at the end of November, their takings match their outgoings for the year, so from that time they are 'in the black', as opposed to being 'in the red' - they are makiing their profit for the year. So, being in the black = Black Friday No miserable connatations, like Black Wednesday here, or being in a black mood etc etc. |
