Rewind Festival 2010

Well, hot off the plane from Italy, tomorrow we are heading to the Rewind Festival in Henley. Being an 80s babe, there are some acts that I haven't seen for 20 years and I'm SO looking forward to it; especially Marc Almond. Anyone remember Marc and the Mambas (and Soft Cell of course)?

Weather promises to be not too bad for the afternoon so although I'll wear my wellies hopefully we won't get too wet.

Food looks good too - better than the usual festival fare . . . http://www.rewindfestival.com/lineup

Re: Rewind Festival 2010

OMG!!! Amazing! 10CC were excellent, never really my thing at the time but I guess I've grown into it now Everyone was really good, but Midge Ure was superb (yes, he did do Vienna and yes, I WAS 'Dancing with Tears in My Eyes').

And as for Marc Almond . . . I managed to get quite close to the front with Dominik on my shoulders and I was totally blown away. I saw him SO many times back in the early 80s that it was just like wiping all those years away. He was the real reason why I went.

We left with just ABC, Go West and Tony Hadley to go, none of which I'm particularly keen on and boy did the heavens open whilst we were on the (open-topped) water taxi back.

Definitely going again next year - we're talking about getting a weekend ticket, but with a small bottle of water at £2.50 and a tiny glass of wine at £4.00, we'll be taking our own refreshments
