Puppy Fostering

If The Irish Sea co-operates, we should be picking up our little pup on 23rd December. She will hopefully have a nice warm comfy Christmas with us, at least she will be indoors although we do appreciate that she may take quite a while to settle down. She will be able to see her mum for a while as our trainer is fostering mum until a forever home can be found.

4 pups and their mother were abandoned by the road "somewhere in Ireland" and were taken on with a view to rehoming by an Irish rescue. There was one dog and three bitch puppies. The Lurcher rescue that our dog trainer supports will be collecting them next w/end and they will be fostered until homes can be found for them. Mum will be spayed and agreements will be signed that pups wherever they end up will also be spayed/neutered. The little girl we have chosen is called Dora atm - she is dark and has little tan eyebrows! Not sure how old they are now, probably about 16 weeks or so. Mother is a whippet cross and father (there may be more than one) is unknown.

Re: Puppy Fostering

She sounds like a possible failed foster already to me.

Re: Puppy Fostering

All depends on whether I am allergic to her or not Kazz and whether we all seem suited! It's rather nice to know that if it turns out to be impossible (and we will try very hard!) the Lurcher rescue here will find a home for her. They seem to be rather good at rehoming.
