Kitty gone a bit mad.

A friend of mine just IMed me to inform me that her cat has gone a bit mad.

He's neutered and under two-years-old.

How she described his behaviour:

"He just ran in here all jittery
And he made this really weird growling noise
And now he keeps pacing in and out of my room making this horrible noise
Well now he's going to the top of the stairs, looking down them, growling and then going into my mum's room
Then he's looking under her bed, growling, and then coming back out to the stairs"

....Any ideas? XD I suggested perhaps mice, but they have none around that she's aware of.

I figure he's maybe just having a crazy moment.

Not sure really but he sounds like he is not happy about something, seems abit distressed , has he eaten or maybe drank something that is hurting him?
But if it does continue or he seems to get worse and she can`t find a trigger I think maybe a visit to the cets might be called for.
Hope she can work out what it is.

Re: Kitty gone a bit mad.

I'm wondering if the poor cat has been hit by something and is in pain...

My previous cat came in growling once and tried to hide away and was reluctant to have anyone near him. I was able to get him in his carrier, took him to the vets and it turned out he had a fractured pelvis.

My advice to your friend would be to take him to the vet asap to be on he safe side..

Please keep us updated on this, Darky, we'd like to know the outcome..

To my knowledge he is now acting completely normally.
