Sunday

Hi everyone .......... it's Sunday again.

A bit of a changeable day, mizzly rain first thing, then brightened up a bit and allowed OH to mow the lawn and now getting gloomy.

OH took Dora to Rally Obedience class this morning by consent of our usual trainer who runs the class, there are no intact dogs there but Dora didn't want to do anything at all except jump about squealing and getting all excited, so OH brought her home early. He's quite upset with her but she's a teenager, hormones raging. Once she hits two years old, she'll be fine (only another 11 months to go!)

I am pouring over family history again and getting my Marys muddled!!!

Hope you are all having an enjoyable Sunday. Cuddles to all Catsey cats from me today.

Re: Sunday

Hi Angie, it's much the same here, weather-wise.

I've been to a Wedding fayre with my niece this morning, looking at lots of lovely dresses and viewing all sorts of formal hire for the gents so exciting! Never had this kind of thing when I was a bride 27 years ago, now there is so much choice and many ideas to pick from.

Missed you yesterday, had a busy one, catching up with my SIL Jayne after her op, ferrying Ceri to and from his rugby match and fitting in my shopping. Luckily I could relax in the night with a chilled chardonnay and 2 happy cats and Strictly Come Dancing-

I have some news from my family history search Angie, a later contacted me on Ancestry and it turns out she is a long lost cousin of Ceri's, a branch of the family via his great grandmother that I thought we'd never discover. So we have exchanged emails and photos, very exciting stuff! We plan to meet up after we come back from our cruise. She lives in North Pembrokeshire, so we'll try and meet halfway.

The scaffolding is still up, they didn't turn up on Friday, I'm cheesed off as I really need to get cleaning out there now I have good weather.

Love to all of you and your fur babes. xx

How exciting to discover Ceri's cousin, PP! I have discovered a 4th cousin who has been very helpful to me with family history, we are in regular email contact and I did meet an elderly cousin who published a book on his side of the family during WW1. He was such a kind gentleman and it was so good to meet him. I'd contacted someone via the Western Front Association and they put me in touch.

Re: Sunday

evening everyone.

Angie, sorry to hear Dora wasn't the best behaved at class today, i feel your OH's upset!!! Barney was the worst in class on Thursday!
Poshpuss, the wedding fair sounds good. Thats not good about the scaffolding, i hope its down soon.

We took barney to a reservoir today where he got to play in the water and there were no other dogs about. He had a ball!! We have signed up to go see another trainer down at the borders. So a 2 hour drive away!! He is a gun dog trainer and will only take on a dog that he can guarantee success with. This will be interesting!! Its a couple of weeks away yet so i will continue working with him until then. Not going back to class because we don't feel he is learning anything there now. It was the socialising aspect we were going for and we don't feel he is benefiting from it. so time for a different approach.

Cats are pretty chilled tonight too

Hope everyone has a lovely evening
