Wednesday daily.

Good morning ladies,
Wednesday 5pm here and it's been a beautiful sunny day with a high of 18 degrees.I haven't posted for a couple of days ,as I've had the children staying with me, much to my cats dismay., but I have been checking in to make sure you're both OK. We had a bit of drama here unfortunately, with Brenna. Recently she developed this small sore on her bottom lip and because she works closely with people, she went to her doctor to see what it was. The answer was a cold sore (herpes virus). Brenna has never had a cold sore in her life but I used to get them a lot when I was a teenager. Anyway, it sort of went away with anti viral medication,until she came back from Australia and started growing again, and was really painful. To cut a long story short, the doctor sent her to a skin specialist, who then sent her to a skin cancer specialist and he did a biopsy and removed the whole thing on Monday. She has heaps of internal and outer stitches and her whole face is terribly bruised. The biopsy results won't be back for 10 days, so it's a long time to wait. I am praying that it's not cancerous, but her specialist said that even if it is, then he's pretty sure he got it all out.The waiting is really horrible for her. The children went home this morning and Brenna will be at home with them as she can't work because she can't open her mouth !!! Jared also doesn't work anyway, so she's in good hands.

Kerry, the AGGRESSIVE roofer came yesterday with a couple of his team, and replaced the broken roof tiles, cleaned out all the guttering and cut away the branches of the neighbour's tree, - all with rather colourful language !! I watched him closely to make sure he wasn't throwing any branches over the fence. I actually told him I wanted to keep the branches for firewood (a little white lie). Anyway, it's done now, so hopefully no more leaking. We've started taking a few things out of the lounge - I managed to get the big electronic piano into the hallway this afternoon, but the builders aren't coming until next Friday, so will have plenty of time for that. We're just going to have to drag everything out into the kitchen as I don't have anywhere else to put it. My cousin's furniture takes up the whole of the spare room, unfortunately.

My cousin is now feeling so much better and doesn't sound congested at all. She's still not going out anywhere and she swears she'll never have another flu injection ever again.

Chicken tenders tonight for tea with coleslaw and cottage cheese. Might do some stewed apples for dessert. I did do a bit of shopping yesterday but found it hard with 4 children, so may go back tomorrow. Gosh things have really gone up hugely in price ,just in the space of a fortnight.. I hope it's a bit better in the UK, but can't imagine it would be.

PAMELA,I can just imagine Loonah and Robyn bounding around together as they're both puppies. How lovely that they had a big garden to play in.At least once Robyn has a good run and burns off some of her energy, she will sleep soundly. How did she get on with your friend's lab on Monday night ? Thank goodness the poor girl got rid of the piece of sandwich bag. It's always a real worry when dogs eat things they shouldn't eat, and they're so quick to do it too. A caravan holiday next year sounds great, especially as you will be able to take your dogs with you, and they would love it. I hope your cold is a lot better now, and that Steven is feeling a lot better too. Summer coughs and colds are always so hard to shift.

SHELLEY, well, you'll be going back home today, so I hope you have a safe trip back. Gosh, that time went so quickly, but then holidays always do. At least you've got your doll fair to look forward to at the weekend. I'm sorry that it was rainy yesterday for your last day in Scotland but at least you were able to get out for some walks and have a nice dinner. St Ninians cave sounds super. I'm glad you managed to go into it. I wasn't aware of the importance of St Ninian, but I'm going to do a bit of reading about that saint. I enjoy reading about the various saints. Shelley, I'm not sure what Janna is going to be doing at her job. She's an Events Presenter and I assume that's just a fancy name for cleaner. I know she works as part of a team to make sure the various events/ conventions etc at Te Pae go smoothly. It may involve setting up audio visual displays etc. She doesn't start until next Tuesday, so she'll know more about it then.

Well ladies, off to take the cats out now, then see about tea.

My goodness i do hope Brennas results come back clear!! what a worrying time for you all. I'm not surprised you havent been online much as well as having the little ones for a few days. She will be counting the days down until she gets the results!! I hope you are ok as well. It will be such a worry for you.

I hope Kerry has sorted the issue with your roof now and you dont get anymore leaks. Glad he didnt throw the branches back over the neighbours fence. I would ave told a wee white lie as well to be honest if it guaranteed he didnt do it!

Your dinner sounds lovely! i hope you enjoyed it!!

Shelley, you will be home now, i hope you had a lovely holiday. Back to work tomorrow for you? Its always a thought but getting back to routine is always good though I hope your first day back goes well.

Also glad to hear your cousin is feeling better. I understand where she is coming from with no more flu jags. We have said the same about the covid jags, had 3 and been ill after every one, not doing it again. My cold is practically away although i a still congested at times and sneezing. Steven has still been a bit rough especially with a cough. He had a doctors appointment yesterday but it was teh nurse and she said he doesnt have a chest infection but he certainly sounds as if he does so keeping an eye on it. The nurse gave him a nasal spray??

I am also back at work tomorrow after being off the last few day between the bank holiday, my day off and a wee day holiday in-between to make the most of it. Steven and i finish up on Friday for 2 weeks holiday, no plans, will just be nice to be off together for a couple of weeks. The only 1 plan i have is getting my car MOT'd on Tuesday as it is due up on the 4th October so better to get it done early in case it needs anything done. Im hoping it doesnt as it is always expensive with a car!

I also have a stall on the 10th its one i have done for the last few years and always do quite well so hoping this one is the same. Looking forward to it.

Robyn is settling in brilliantly. No issues with teh cats now, occasionally she is curious and wants to play/chase but no malice in it. She loves her toys as well. She starts puppy plus classes next week to work on her recall, focus and lead work and being around distractions. The classes are outside so its real life situations which is so much better than walking around a hall with them where it so sterile. She loved running about with Loona. She got on great with Millie the lab. Millie is such a good dog though and her mum is a dog walker so she is used to other dogs. She was shattered when i brought her home as well
