Greek Cats

It didn't take long before the apartment was filled with the local cats
Meet Harry

Then he brought his friend who I called Larry, someone else called him Arnie

Both washing following a tin of sardines

Time to play

Aww... bless them! I can't resist the strays when we go on holiday either!

Hasn't Harry got unusual markings? He looks like he has long socks on!

I never thought of that!! He had such a cute little face. The Dutch girl who worked behind the bar, and lives in Crete was taking him home after the season. There was another lady cat there who wouldn't let me snap her who the Dutch girl was worming too so I bought cat food to leave with her when I went. Will post her the pics too.

Oh, thanks for posting those lovely Greek cat pics! What stunning markings Harry has! They look clean and well fed, too; are they really strays?

Re: Greek Cats

Greece has a real problem with stray cats but most are well looked after by the hoteliers and guests. I am yet to see an ill or injured cat (but I won't cry that in). Kefalonia has not long set up a spaying and neutering campaign, Can I post their website address for anyone who wants to support them????

Re: Greek Cats

What lovely colourings they have, mixture of tabby, white and tortoishell They really do look healthy which is good to see. Good news that the Dutch lady is taking them home!

I can't resist holiday cats either . . . when we were in Italy our villa was overrun with them as I fed them all the time (to the annoyance of the owners )
