Flea and worm preventionJust wondering what everyone uses? The vet only really recommends the spot on liquids, dabbed on the back of the neck. My cats hate these, god knows why they can't improve the smell. The solvent used is also incredibly harsh (it stripped the paint on my microwave) and I'm loathe to put that on my cats any more. I don't think collars work very well and they definitely wouldn't stay on. Anyone have experience of tablets or anything else? And if tablets, can you recommend a brand? Thanks.

I have tried Bob Martin tablets but they don't last long. I use Advantage spot on, we stopped using Frontline, it didn't work. I think flea repellents are gentler but we have 6 cats and we have to be on top of them. None of our cats have a bad reaction to Advantage but one of the dogs does. Sorry I can't be more helpful. |

I've been using Activyl on the cats and dog. I buy it online as it is a lot cheaper than at the vet clinic. There is no smell and it works well. Only problem is that it needs to be applied monthly. |

I've gone for advantage this time. They've had the advocate before which they really didn't like and I also couldn't find it online! I couldn't find activyl either online. Got 4 pipettes for £9.99. |

They both hated it, and shook most of it everywhere... My mum used to program our cats when I was young. I think it was ok, but may be fleas are more immune to it now? Annoying about ticks, none here but then myszka, the only one who goes out, prefers other people's houses to long grass etc! |
