Daily Thread....Monday...

Good morning all, feeling a bit deflated this morning, after having such a brilliant day yesterday, back to the, cleaning, washing etc today!
Beautiful here this morning, very cold though..
Going to look for a pair of long boots today, why can you see a picture of what you want in your mind, but never find them in the shops! !They all seem to have heels this year!
Have a good day everybody....

Funny old morning here, glorious sunshine and blue skies with rain appearing from goodness knows where!!!!! Got to go and buy a bigger litter tray as they Teddie and Cooper keep using the one tray at the same time and it's far too small for them, silly kits! Got craft lessons with the girls after school, so glue and sequins galore, lol. Have a good day everyone.

Re: Daily Thread....Monday...

Morning all.....Blinking freezing here! No central heating as the plumbers forgot to bring a long enough flue for the new boiler they installed yesterday So we all went to bed at 8.30pm huddled under our duvets to keep warm Hopefully, by this evening we will be up and running again and feel like toast

Not much planned for today. Have mucked the two horses out etc...now going to tackle the mess the plumbers left for me yesterday

Hope you all have a great day

Re: Daily Thread....Monday...

Pouring with rain here, but not cold. Heating is back and working . . . it was the fan! So that's another £200 spent on that blasted boiler on top of the £500 the other week But on a good note, I have finally sorted out my PC, disconnected the old one and tidied all the cables away.

It's hubby's birthday today. I bought him a beautiful rhodium plated white gold ring with a diamond in it. The plating makes it look kind of shiny darkish grey. It's ever so understated as he's not really a jewellery person. I think he liked it But if I'd known I'd be forking out nearly a grand on boiler repair I might have just gone for a plain old titanium ring

Had a horrible shock today too. I phoned up to make an appointment for my hair colour at my usual salon. The guy that runs the salon does my hair - he's always very brave with the colour, something I like! He's a big black guy with dreadlocks; a terrible flirt, but really sexy, funny and generous.

Well - the receptionist went quiet and said that he'd been taken ill a week ago. So I thought she was going to say that he was off for a while. No - she said he'd died of heart failure He's only my age I still can't believe it and well up with tears whenever I think about it. A few weeks ago his colleague was cutting Domi's hair and Ray was tickling Sebastian . . . sorry to go on - but I'm a bit all over the place after hearing that

Re: Daily Thread....Monday...

Yola - how terribly sad and what a shock for you.

I've had a bit of a strange day - Random and I left for school this morning and saw a rainbow. And not just any old rainbow - the proper kind that spans the sky from end to end! When it vanished I told him rainbows occur when the light refracts and that it had shifted to where it no longer refracts and bla dee bla and he said "No, mummy. It's hiding!"

Clever lad

Hippie came home around noon so we could go to our appointment with the head of Random's school, which went well (we had some concerns), and now I'm here and I'm really tired because we got up too late for Hippie to get breakfast so I made a full-on sausages-and-pancakes dinner for when he came home

Yola - That's very sad and very scary isn't it.
Fran - get warm soon
I've had a nice day schlepping around in Dorchester. Bought a pyrex dish @ £4 .... , and that's all, apart from a coffee and mince pie (first this year!) - don't think I'm very good for the retail trade
