Cat walking

Hi there,

I guess I'm after a bit of a confidence boost... my cats are both inside cats for several reasons. One of them especially loves going outside, and it's good for me also as it's chills them both out for a bit of the day

Our old house was a detached with a big garden and we walked around there on a harness and lead and it was enough. Now we've moved though, and I have a tiny garden that just isn't enough. So I'm now walking them around the close during the day.

I'm just feeling a bit self-concious about it all. Wondering what my neighbours are thinking of the new neighbour! Someone tell me I'm doing the right thing, and the any neighbour worth knowing will still talk to me!

Thanks

Re: Cat walking

Of course you're doing the right thing - that's because it's right for you and your cats! It may even act as an ice-breaker with your new neighbours coming out to take a look, say hello and ask questions. If only everyone was so watchful over their cats

Re: Cat walking

It's a brilliant thing to do ........... don't let anyone else make you think it's not.

A lot of us on this forum remember a very special member who long ago used to walk her cat around the streets of Washington D.C. I wonder if I can find the link ......

Thanks Mags! That's the photo I was thinking about. I think Eileen used to take other cats out on harness and lead too, but don't think there were other photos - you may remember differently!
