Donald's nose

The results are through for Donald's nose biopsy, not great news, it's a squamous cell carcinoma. It isn't in his lymph nodes, but because of where it is we are limited in what we can do. I did ask the vet what the prognosis was and he said his kidney/ thyroid issues were more of a concern. We are taking him down today so the vet can have another look and we can discuss any options.

We have decided to wait and see how Donald's nose heals after the biopsy, if it continues to be a problem he didn't want to remove any more because it would cause a problem sowing to wound together and block the nostril. I asked if we could possibly remove the tumour without sowing the edges back together, it would affect his looks but nothing else, so if it does become an issue for him, that is what we will try to do.

Oh im so sorry to hear the news was not better. Poor boy. You must be so sad. He is a very lucky boy to have such a loving caring home with you

Donald doesn't seem to be bothered by his nose at all, but it looks sore. It's a shame because the benazacare seems to have sorted his mood swings and now he has this to deal with. He got his buster collar off today, and I've left it off, it's nearly 2 weeks since his op and he was drivinge nuts in bed by sticking it in my face while I was sleeping. It did make giving tablets easier though.
