Fiat 500 Friday

Hi all! Hope everyone is safe and not been swept away? We've not had the heavy rain here but I see from the Telegraph news that Lincolnshire has been particularly badly hit, not to mention Yorkshire and other areas too. I feel so sorry for everyone who is affected by this freak weather. It's meant to be July FGS!

Gloomy and mizzly here. OH has gone off to play golf .... as it was dry yesterday here I expect the course is open, well - he's not come home yet so I am presuming.

New furniture has been delivered and looks good. As I'm going to be using the dressing table as a desk for the time being I am looking for a non-slip protecting mat - found the perfect thing yesterday while I was searching but it was nearly £180 .... couldn't believe it. Must go back and have another look!!!

Have a good day folks, stay safe and dry if possible.

Have found a much better priced self heal mat, which should do the trick perfectly.

Re: Fiat 500 Friday

Hi Angie, it is pelting down here and we have tickets for an outdoor performance of Hamlet for tonight........ It is the Globe on Tour and they are brilliiant but I'm really not sure about it at the moment!
Glad you found a more reasonable priced mat, £180 sounds way too much.
Hope everyone's safe and not too wet and soggy I went out wearing red shoes and my feet got so wet the dye has transferred and I have red feet now

That happened to me many years ago. I was wearing dark brown suede shoes and my (at the time very young) niece looked at my feet and said "Auntie Elaine, why have you put brown sauce all over your feet?"

Getting ready for going off to Cornwall tomorrow for a week, anyone taking bets on the weather? A bit more ironing to do and some general tidying so we don't come back to a tip and we'll be ready. The cats have already gone off on their little holiday, OH took them to the cattery this morning. Play nicely while I'm away

Re: Fiat 500 Friday

Afternoon all.

Work tonight I am really starting to think someone is going to start building an ark shortly. It is pouring down here honestly.

Mrs H I forsee a gap of sunhine in cornwall for the next week......I hope. This is no weather for a holiday, it is July.....I have to keep reminding myself too.

Angie got some pictures of the furniture. Glad you found a better priced desk protector.

CS I have seen the globe on tour and agree they are brilliant not seen Hamlet though I don't know what the weather is like where you are as it dows not appear to be the same anywhere you go but not sure I would want to sit outside in it.
Have you watched the new BBC drama on the tv Hollow Crown about Richard II
watched it last week it was brilliant. second part this week.

Have a great holiday MrsH - I do hope that the weather is OK for you.

Kazz - I really enjoyed Richard II last Saturday, looking forward to Henry IV part 1 tomorrow. What brilliant productions.

I'm looking forward to the quiz Pamela ... can you yell at me nearer the time in case I forget, not being used to it being on a Friday? Thanks!
