Re: wednesday

Sorry you've been poorly Pamela All better now?

Shelley I'm sure you look very elegant with a pink rubber hat on

Today's post brought a Lakeland catalogue, why do I suddenly have a burning need for the things in there that I never realised I needed? Must buy some cinnamon extract, stuff/recipes for making my own soft cheese, what about a thermospatula (combined digital thermometer and heat resistant spatula) I'm sure I desperately need one for my jam-making!

Fingers crossed that this afternoon's dog walk looks like it might be dry

Re: wednesday

Hi all ...... very grey, overcast, low light level, windy and occasional showers here today. OH and I have been in to Chichester as he needed to make a change to his mum's standing order for care home fees and we had an abortive trip to Homebase. I was looking for a new toilet seat - how exciting is that? Need to replace the one in mil's ensuite so it can be used by our pet sitter in August .... thought to get a bit ahead. Until I looked at the prices - don't know why I don't just look online for everything straight off. I can't see traditional shops managing to carry on for much longer. OH said that Chichester city centre is looking sad, closed businesses/shops and pound shops springing up. It used to be a fairly elegant city centre and a pleasant shopping experience but the town centre rates must be terribly high.

Computer seems to be very well now so I hope to see you at the quiz this evening. I was so miffed at missing last week.

Have a good day folks.

Re: wednesday

After an OK start it's throwing it down here. Boys are off on a double playdate with 2 brothers who are in the same year groups as each of them . . . their Mum's had to take them to an indoor play centre due to the rain

Still, it has meant no little feet traipsing through the house so I've waxed the whole of the basement floor (flags and oak) and it smells a little like a church down here now but by 'eck it's clean and shiny! Myshka has decamped upstairs in disgust as it's far too fragrant for him

Washing is on and I'm going to have to have a think about dinner in a bit. I could get used to just being a housewife

Re: wednesday

been a busy day, sorting things for the holiday.
My son has bought an ipad and today we have bought a vodaphone sim card for it, i'm hoping we can get online whilst at the caravan but it depends on the signal. Only vodaphone works there.
Dogs have been walked twice and Jerry groomed, although he hates it as it makes him twitchy.
Yoga soon, then i will see some of you at the quiz.

Re: wednesday

Evening all

I've been to the doctor's today. Not much help there.

But I've decided, that NOW its time for me to grow up, and focus on eating correctly. That means healthy-ish food and more than one meal per day.

I need to get energy to my very weak muscles.

I hope everybody's feeling better today.
