Name that brick!!

Earlier last week I posted some pics of my newly acquired 'pet' bricks.

angieh's OH can name bricks so I said I'd post some pics!

Firstly - here is some of them as an edging on the herbaceous border.

I have thin bricks and fat bricks!

The fat brick has ADAM pressed into it

The skinny one has GISCOL

Giscol is a Glasgow brick but no idea about Adam.

Re: Name that brick!!

OH says he's never heard of ADAM brick, but GISCOL is the Glasgow Iron and Steel Co Ltd and are Scotch Commons. We did have a Google for ADAM bricks - there seem to be 2 circular marks within the name on that brick which OH thinks could be mould marks. Both bricks look as if they come from the same area as the clay colour is similar. Sorry if that's a bit disappointing CM.

I'd be inclined to call one Bill and the other Betty and once you've named your bricks then they are of course special pets!!!
