Help needed (re: poetry book)

Which do you think I should use:
Direct Pod or do it on my computer then sell it over amazon (I'll use amazon to sell it either way)
The link is: http://www.direct-pod.com/
Some of the poems haven't been posted on Catsey so there's an incentive for those interested to buy the book when I've got it sorted

If I can work out how to do it when I put the book up for sale on Amazon I'll do a discount for registered Catsey members

Is that OK with everyone?

Re: Help needed (re: poetry book)

Can I say what I would do if I were you????

I looked at the Direct Pod site and it seems a decent way to publish. But I didn't look at costs. What if you were to buy x number of books from them and then sell them direct? You could advertise and sell on eBay or at your rescue centre for example. You could see if costing the book would make price realistic and always add P&P.

I'm not sure about Amazon - bet they'd take a good cut.

You may have already done all this in which case ignore this post

That's an amazing price from Direct Pod - I presume you pay up front and then they sell the items and charge whatever and post direct to the purchaser. How long do they keep the stock? Is that hard or softback?

But Amazon will be taking 65% per book they sell. That's massive.

Should say on the basis of that, I will vote computer - I'd rather that money went to your charities.

Softback, for about 30odd pages

I'd be paying them and they'd be selling the book through bookshops and things (is my understanding)

Excellent! It's the only thing I can use when buying things in the UK, they automatically translate pounds into dollars at the current exchange rate and debit my account properly.

And I could email the poetry book to whoever's interested (save costs)
