Re: Sun-bound Saturday

Oh my, the green-eyed monster in me SUN!!! how lovely.
It's struggling hard to be bright here today, my neighbour's daughter is getting wed today, just saw the flowers being delivered, all white by the looks of it

Nothing exciting planned, we have to go to the shop for bits and bobs. The car needs a wash so will take it through the automatic one later.

Catch up later. x

Re: Sun-bound Saturday

Hope you all have a wonderful time Yola.
My youngest son Chris and myself went to the volunteer day at our local nature reserve, we've been lopping and chopping. We get a bit of a nature walk too as the ranger points out things of interest, we went into a wooded are to look at some fungi, i spotted a small toad on its back looking very dead. I went to move it and it became apparent it was actualy alive although very subdued. However when i picked it up to put it near the pond it seemed to suddenly come round and leapt of my hand.
After the work was done we were treated to an adult pond dip. Fascinating actualy what you can find, we caught various nymphs, leeches, baby newts, pond scaters, water boatmen, dapne, blood worms and snails.

That sounds exciting, Shelley! Hope that toad was OK. I like toads.

Re: Sun-bound Saturday

Bon voyage, Yola!

Lovely morning here, sun, lower humidity and cooler than the August norms: 25 C (77 F). Another day with no errands so a lovely lie in and pottering.

I caught a flea last night grooming Leia! Have no idea where it could have come from as she doesn't go out; perhaps from the mouse she caught recently? If there seem to be any more will have to do something. She reacted badly as a kitten to Frontline...???

Shelley. that sounds like my idea of great fun!

Have a great day, all.
