When we first got Barnaby he carried things round the house. He usually took them upstairs. He was 'singing' all the time doing this. We once watched him dragging a 2 foot long feather duster upstairs! He doesn't do it as much now. I think as he had lived rough all his life he regarded them as prey although he never tried to eat anything. I knew if he had brought something upstairs in the night because he made such noises. They usually ended up in the bathroom. Shoes, soft toys, anything really. Very clever for such a little cat. |

My cat Smokey does this, though not so much with random objects. Where does Tigger bring these objects? From my experience with Smokey doing this, carrying an object while crying, it means she wants someone to play with her. |

Tigger takes them to under the clothes drier (it seems to be her storage area for objects she decides to carry around), she doesn't seem to be bringing them to me or finding Ebony to ask her to come play with her. |

Ben & Henri do it & both hide items behind the sofa - think its a form of hinting instinct kicking in. Sometimes they will leave thd items for me to find & purr happily x |
