Hello from a Newbie

I've just heard of this site, and being mad about cats - large and small, I couldn't resist joining to have a look.

As I say I love cats, all shapes, sizes, Pedigree and 'moggie', but an especial love for Burmese. Sadly our last Burmese died earlier this year, at the age of nearly 22! My OH and I miss her, and her Dad who sadly left us some years ago, and would dearly love to find another couple.
I know we could buy more kittens, but as we're now not so young as we'd like to be (not elderly I hasten to add!) we feel we'd like to take on a couple of cats who may, through unfortunate circumstances, be looking for a home.

We've not had much success looking for Burmese through the usual Sites and so I wondered if there may be someone on here who could perhaps keep us in mind. We're in the Thames Valley and would prefer for the cats sake (not too much travelling) to find some suitable candidates locally.

I shall now have a good look round

Hello Dorothy. a warm welcome to Catsey

So sorry to hear of your recent loss, almost 22 was such a good age.

I do hope you are able to find two rescue cats who are looking for a good home soon.

Hello Shelley and thank you for the welcome

It looks a very friendly place to be and although I haven't looked round much yet, I'm sure I'll enjoy it here.

Yes, keeping my fingers crossed about the pusscats.

Hi Dorothy! So sorry to hear of your loss - I can understand your love of Burmese, not that I have been owned by one myself but I used to cat sit a lovely chocolate Burmese who was the most laid-back affectionate boy.

I hope you can find a suitable duo to care for - I am sure there must be many out there, though not necessarily Burmese.

Thanks Angie

And yes it's true, we know they needn't be Burmese, but before commiting ourselves we thought we'd give ourselves a while to try. We both love all cats, and before we had our two had other loving cats - just that Burmese were just so ..... well

Hello Velvet - what a gorgeous puss cat

I see photos need to be uploaded from Photobucket, I'll have to see what I've put on there
