Daily Thread / Wednesday

Morning all, dry but overcast here. Hubby's first day back at work after the Christmas break today and Tom's first day back at school. Em is not back until next week. Just off to sort the horses out and then Em has an assesment appointment later to get that tooth sorted which is still causing her grief So I'll be glad when they have sorted it out. Got to nip to the equine unit this morning to pick Bootsy's regular meds up.

Hope you all have a lovely day

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

Good morning - a grey one but pretty mild. It is a good morning - Dad is coming out of hospital this afternoon. After 5 weeks, and missing xmas and new year. We are having a repeat xmas on Sunday!
Have put a pot of soup (scotch broth) on to cook, other than that the day is unremarkable.
Have finished The Thunderbolt Kid - it was so funny in parts it rendered me helpless with laughter; I'm glad I was reading in the privacy of my own home! The latter half was not so laugh-out-loud funny but ejoyable nonetheless.
Have a nice day everyone

Morning all, grey and breezy here but surpisingly mild. Little niece still in hospital, apparently she had a bad night and has spent all morning vomitting again, so they are waiting on the doctor coming to see her. I've evicted the rabbit from the kids playhouse and it's all ready for Princess to arrive. Kids went back to school today (oh happy day) and my new boiler is being put in, so it is all go here. Have a good day folks!

Ps Great news DM!!!!

Overcast but mild day today......

Feeling slightly drained after lack of sleep last night .....I really must get the last of the Christmas things put away this afternoon

DM ~ That's wonderful news that your Dad is coming out of hospital today! Five weeks is a long stay in hospital so don't be surprised if he is a little disorientated when he comes home. Sunday is a day to celebrate for you all

Have a good day all!

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

Been out this morning into town to get my inlaws anniversary presents. Bought Thomas and Louise a new playstation game each and bought myself a new skirt and blouse.

Weather is grotty, cold, wet and miserable. Nothing much planned. We're having rabbit stew for tea tonight yummy

DM that's fab news about your dad

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

DM; excellent news about your Dad! Alex: hope your niece improves soon! Am on early today; going out to lunch with an old friend from work, so did my marketing early and came on Catsey. Gotta have my Catsey fix!! Sunny and still unseasonably mild: this is the 25th day in a row that we're above normal: normal high for this time of year is 42F; mid-fifties predicted today and low 60's tomorrow! This month's gas bill won't be as horrendous as last Winter's. Out to feed Onyx now; will pop on again later.

Re: Daily Thread / Wednesday

DM - wonderful news about your father!! Delighted you'll be reliving Christmas for him this coming weekend. Alex, I hope and pray that your little niece starts picking up soon . . . hugs.

Today's been a bit of a non-day. Popped into town, played with the little ones and am now awaiting a friend who was due here at 4.30. She's always late (but always terribly sweet about it) so it's no big deal. Hubby's going to be working late so I shall do turkey-mince spaghetti bolognese with homemade tomato sauce.

The fitness trianer was a breath of fresh air last night - seemed to really listen to what I wanted to achieve. I have to do a food chart for a week and then he'll analyse the whole thing next week as well as doing a BMI (body mass index . . . gulp ). I think I'll start off with him once a week for a month and see how we get on. It'll probably be part of my Christmas present as the Prada bag came to nothing . . . it's no longer available
