He's just phoned - I should have waited a little! Anyway, urea only slightly above normal, creatine within normal range. He described it as 'excellent' and says that's it, that's her permanent regime - she's on the pills and diet for life now, but need only be seen at 6 month intervals. Feels a lot better than it did 4 weeks ago! |

....Great news DM....what a relief! My Sam was on tablets twice a day, every day for 10 years.......he got so used to taking them that I only had to touch his mouth and he would open it ready for the tablet...no trouble at all! I really hope Min gets used to them as it makes life so much easier! |

I'm glad Mini's stabilized DM, even if it means permenant medication. The prising open of jaws and the stuffing in of tablet is the best method. Quick AND cheap I had a friend who's cat also had kidney failure and she used to hide the tablet in all sorts of foodstuffs, including (mostly) smoked salmon!!! Between that and her cigarette habit I'm surprised she had any money left for food |
