Windy Monday.
Good morning Pamela and Shelley,
Monday early evening here and boy, it's been windy today, but thankfully no rain. There has been a severe wind watch in place all day and it's meant to last until tomorrow ......... then rain for the rest of the week.I've got a building inspector coming in the morning to look at the water damage and assess the conservatory. He sounded horrible when I spoke to him on the phone, but we'll see. Jae's took away the huge fans yesterday afternoon, so it's at least peaceful now and the cats are back in the lounge again. They wouldn't go outside tonight as the wind was too strong and they don't like it blowing through their fur.
I lost Willow 2 years ago today and I've been a bit tearful all day. I bought her ashes and Dickens' into the bedroom and lay on the bed with them and just talked to them and prayed with them. Actually I came out of the bedroom worse than I was before I went in, so I'm making an appointment for some counseling. I can't continue on like this. Gaelynn at Loving Tributes, is a qualified grief counselor, so I'm going to her. She was so lovely with Dickens.
Pies for tea tonight - not very healthy, but nice on a cold, windy night. .
PAMELA,, I'm glad that you enjoyed your time in Bristol AND I'm absolutely thrilled that Loonah is picking up a bit. Thank goodness she is going to see a specialist this week - I do hope all goes well with that visit. Did you have a nice dinner at your sister-in-law's house on Friday ? I hope that your MIL was able to relax a bit and enjoy her birthday, now that her puppy is a little better.
SHELLEY, sorry to hear the news about your eyes, but look, it's probably better to know and cataracts are easily fixed. At least you're got time to prepare yourself, and it may take years until they grow and become a problem. My cousin also now has cataracts in both eyes and is having them removed next month so she can continue driving. Please don't worry - you'll be off to the van soon and having a lovely time. All will be well, I'm sure.
Well, I hope the sun shines for you both today. Wish me luck with Mr Grouchy tomorrow. I hope he's better than he sounds on the phone. I'll let you know.
