We lost Mousa yesterday morning.

Mousa, one of our shetland sheep died yesterday morning. Mike found her in the field very ill, he carried her in and we called the vet out, she was given a antibiotics, vitamins, matacam and calcium, we wrapped her up in a duvet and some snuggle pads in one of the indoor stalls. I checked her through out the night, and thought she might make it when she was still alive at 6am, sadly she was dead by 8am.
Mousa was being sold for meat, when she was 2, so she was probably going to be pet food. We had her for 5 years and she was a cheeky little madam whose face always reminded me of a monkey. I feel so bad we missed something, but hopefull the metacam masked any pain she may have been feeling. Mousa is the first sheep we have lost.:0

I always thinks sheep are so hard to diagnose. I know you will have done everything you could for her.

RIP Mousa.
