They have sticky pads in the bottom, and a small nightlight above. Plug it in overnight and the heat and light attract the fleas, which stick to the pad. I was dumbfounded when I got one years ago... came downstairs and the pad was black with fleas! But that was a bad infestation. It comes with two pads, you can buy replacements if needed. |
