Morning Karen! Glad you're starting to move around . . . it's good to get mobile (they had me out of bed about 6 hours after my c-section) Take it slowly though; I started to unravell because I ended up doing to much too soon Boys are back at school today and my Mum bless her, is having a quiet day playing with my cats and doing my ironing We had a shock last night as OH's oldest son phone from the allotments - where he has one too - to say our shed had been broken into. Turns out it was not just ours but loads of them! Nothing was stolen but OH, who rushed down there said that the door frame was smashed. We had a really robust lock and padlock on it and they STILL managed to lever it open. Barstewards!! |

Morning! Good to see that you're moving around Karen, just don't be too ambitious, stop and rest before you get overtired! Yola - that's horrid about the allotments, what b****rs! why can't people respect others' property? Did any of the other holders lose anything? It seems such a brainless piece of vandalism! (but then all vandalism is brainless in my opinion!) Nothing much happening here today, OH will be going out for lunch with his also-retired ex-colleagues 'cos Wednesday's when they meet, they just vary the venue! Enjoy the day! |

Hi all, nice to see you up and about Kazz. Been for a meeting at the eldest's school this morning, heading for one at my younger son's school later. What is it with kids that they all fall apart at the same time and just when I have an exam on Friday. No revision done and can't concentrate cos I'm worried about the boys!!!! I am looking forward to the weekend it can't come soon enough. Hope everyone else's day is going better, |

Hi Kazz! How nice to see a daily started by yourself! Hope you're having a good nap now! I had to pop down to the surgery this morning for my 6 week Mirena check. Everything is fine - and I must say that I am beginning to feel better and have more energy. No mention of having any further blood count checked and I feel as if the anaemia has been cured. No longer taking the iron pills. Groceries have been delivered and I now have a couple of hours of transcription to do before getting lists etc. ready for the sit-in carer who is coming for 4 hours tomorrow for the first time so that OH and I can go out for a bit. We are hoping to just go to the pub for lunch as rain is forecast tomorrow. Talk about Sod's Law! Have a good day all - Quiz tonight at 8.00 if you can make it. Very sorry to hear about the allotment break-in Yola. Shame about your shed door. Allotments are sadly very vulnerable. |

Feels like March rather than almost May! Lots of sun, very windy and the Canadians kindly sent us a lot of their surplus cold air, it's 7 C (45 F) with a wind chill of 4 C! To the other market for Ms Picky's special chicken, nothing planned except pottering around. Kazz, glad you're a bit mobile now, do take it easy. Angie, excellent news about both your results and the carer! Enjoy the break! Yola, how awful; and they will probably never catch the hooligans!! Bad cess to them, hope they get boils in a sensitive place! Allwin, hope all goes well at the meetings. QUIZ tonight! |

Well, what a day we've had! Up at 6 am to get Darcy ready to go to the specialist after a sleepless night of checking she was ok. The surgeon was lovely,as were all the staff, who Darcy had wrapped around her little paw in no time! They admitted her for sedation and a ultrasound of the area, all of which went well. They are confident they can close the hernia and she's scheduled for surgery on Tuesday (to allow the swelling from yesterdays op to subside) Popped her into our practice for a temp. check and more antibiotics, then on our way home, we saw the Queen! She has been in town on a visit today, thought it had all finished but she drove right past our house on her way home! So all in all, an eventful day in the life of Miss Darcy! |
