snowy saturday

Morning everyone. As the title says, its started snowing here!! We are heading off to a mazda dealership open day in Edinburgh today as they organise it through the owners club. They give free health checks and valets and supply light snacks as well. Good day out. Although with it now snowing, will be interesting to see if it actually goes ahead!!

Hope everyone has a lovely day and is nice and warm and fingers crossed that the garage dont lose my car key like they did last year!!!!

Re: snowy saturday

Morning Pamela - hope you enjoy your day, the keys remain safe as do you and your OH and the snow doesn't spoil things. It's raining here. My OH and dogs got soaked on their walk this morning.

I am trying to clear as much as possible off the work surfaces in the kitchen (it's amazing the junk that I've moved already). That means of course making room in cupboards etc. Then strategically placed "acts of God" will be placed to try and train Dora from pinching stuff off the worktops. I could understand food items, but it's the other stuff she nicks which is more worrying, like a pot of elastic bands yesterday - I hope I got them all back before she'd eaten any. I heard an amazing tale yesterday of a whippet that had managed to get a chicken that was defrosting under a pan, on which was placed another pan full of water to weigh it down. Pushed the whole lot off on to the floor and the chicken was demolished.

Just put the heating back on - things feeling very chilly and damp today.

Keep warm, dry, safe and have a good day folks!

Re: snowy saturday

Brrr, it is wet and windy here. I'm off into town in a bit and may bet a second pair of specs with reactalite lenses as I have got used to varifocals reasonably quickly - I didn't want to get 2 pair until I was sure I could cope!

Hope you have a good day Pamela and that your car is returned sparkling! Good luck with Dora proofing the kitchen Angie, that sounds a challenge !

Re: snowy saturday

afternoon all, no snow here as yet but very cold.
Been fixing dolls today, i'd forgotten just how strenuous it can be.
Saw the postie this morning and remarked to Howard that he would be bringing us a premium bond cheque. Sure enough when i went to check the mail, the letter and cheque were waiting. Only a small win but very nice nevertheless.
