Some of you may have read about Mike's dad being very ill after a heart attack, and how the doctors wanted to fit a defibrillator to prevent his heart going into vetricular fibrillation. We finally got him to agree to the op and the doctors had to do a couple of more tests to check him over.
Sadly, they have discovered secondary tumours in his liver and suspect the primary cancer is in his bowel. He, at the moment, has decided to go home, without the defibrillator (don't even know if the doctors would now want to go ahead anyway). We are not going to try an persuade him otherwise, as we always fell we are bullying and pushing for answers, and the rest of the family agree with his father, that he shouldn't be pushed anymore. It is a very hard thing to do, but you can only do so much and hope nobody regrets this decision.
