Hedgehogs

We've had a couple of hedgehogs living under our shed for a couple of years now, looks like they've been busy as we also have 4 tiny babies who every night about 11ish roam round the front garden.

Everynight there they are getting a bit more daring and venturing further. I worry when they don't come out and last week could only see 3 so I went looking for number 4 Found him just in time before he disappeared down the drain so moved him back with the rest of the family

Number 4 is a bit shy and wouldn't let me take his picture

Wow - they are fantastic photos Were they with a zoom or did you really get close?

I love hedgehogs - amazing little creatures - and great for eating horrible slugs!!!!

I was quite close but still had to zoom in. Poor things are probably blinded with the flash

They do like cat food Mags, and goats milk

Re: Hedgehogs

I do love hedgehogs - well done for looking after your young 'uns Anne - they are the gardeners' best friends after all.

Now - learned something else - is that right Eileen - none in USA?

I love hedgehogs and I think we are so lucky in Britain to have such lovely wildlife. Great photos, thanks for sharing.

Re: Hedgehogs

Those are great pictures! I love shy little number four. I hand-fed some baby hedgies last summer for a few days before they went to an expert centre and totally fell in love with them.
