Re: buttercup wednesday

Afternoon Shelley .......... hope your optimism paid off!

Grey here and quite chilly. Must be me though, OH is going round with a T-shirt and I have two fleeces! Just having a hot drink and have my hands (when not typing!) clasped around my mug.

I'm trying to sort out a calligraphy project the class has been set for homework because there is no class tomorrow as the hall is being used. We are doing designs for a tea-towel and the theme is herbs/spices. Nice to do but I'm coming up short on layout ideas. I shall be trying again this afternoon.

Have a good day folks.

Re: buttercup wednesday

Hi girls! It was dry for a few hours this morning then lunchtime went as black as soot, now it's pouring down. even the chooks have taken shelter under the coop. I've put lots of straw down to save their feet and little bums from getting wet. Maggie continues to lay, bless her.

Been shopping this morning but intend to catch up with recorded telly this afternoon while ironing, hope all flesh, fur and feathered are well and happy. xx

Re: buttercup wednesday

Evening folks. For once I have caught up with the ironing but have got stuff on the airer drying. Fecto is driving me mad. He's dabbing my leg now even though he's had cat food and cat milk. Just taken some chicken pieces out of the freezer for him. He doesn't seem to twig it has to thaw out first.

Our hens aren't laying as many now, we lost another to old age the other day. Its cold and dark here. Heating is on, dogs are rugged up on duvets, dog beds and blankies. Cats are all over the place, except Fecto who is slowly turning my trackie bottoms into mesh!

Good luck with the design Angie. I need to organise myself to start my Christmas cards, I was running late last year and had to rush some. Trouble is, every year I seem to need to do more.

Re: buttercup wednesday

well Angie my optimism paid off, washing more or less dry just put it in the airing cupboard for a bit to be sure.
Just before i set off for work a car pulled up with two young men in , one of which was a friend of our neighbours son. The neighbours were out and havent seen this man for approx 10 years. Today he turns up with a dog that he needs wants to rehome.
I said hello and he told me he'd got the dog for his kids but it chewed something up. I tried not to judge and gave him a few numbers to contact but i feel so sorry for the dog who appeared to be a friendly 18 month old female staffy.
