That had never occurred t me how difficult it would be to put a cat with outdoor access and excellent hunting skills on a diet! I wonder .... you can find anything on Google ... how many calories in an average sized mouse? I figure we might as well chatter a bit while we hope CM and Steph will show up ... |

Yes, I do hope they come along. The receptionist at my vet's has the same problem with her cat. She said he has got enormous. Her hubby said to her one day "have you seen the dead pigeon on the lawn?" she went and looked and it was nearly all gone ...... bet that's more calories than the various small mammals Kizzy brings in. |

But if you cut down on her inside food, she'll look at you plaintively with a "small starving cat" face and make you feel like a very harsh cruel bad mum! For a quite large plump cat Leia is excellent at said SSC face ... If no one has shown up by the half hour, I guess we might as well try for next week .... |

Yes, OK. I have never seen the SSC face on Kizzy - being a cat with a fairly delicate digestion too, I am quite surprised she has put on so much weight. She seems in excellent health otherwise, her coat is gorgeously silky, thick and has quite a shine, although it does not show up as well as on single coloured cats' coats. |
