RIP Jack

Early afternoon my hubby phoned me from work to ask if I would go up and scan a cat that he had found lying beside the road It was a beautiful, big, friendly ginger and white lad, that used to stop for a petting off my hubby whenever he saw him. He had a chip, but when I checked with identichip, the owners details weren't registered. Cue me phoning round different vets to see if he had been reported missing. Got a positive at the 4th vets I tried. I called the lady, hardest thing I have done in some time, and broke the news to her. As she didn't drive I took him home to her instead. It actually turned out he wasn't her cat, but her housemates, who is in the process of moving out as she is expecting her first child and today was her first scan The lady was so upset, and had phoned the owners partner so he could break the news to her, rather than her doing it over the phone.

So RIP to Jack, a much loved boy taken too soon xx

Re: RIP Jack

So sad but thanks to the vets and your compassionate detective work Alex, the owner was able to accept that her boy had gone. Play well at the Bridge little one. X
